Marie Stopes International needed a website that felt current, contemporary and really made them stand apart from their competitors. They are a charity committed to giving women around the world choices for family planning. They wanted a website that reflected their vision and thinking and that would act as a valuable resource for their offices and clients across the globe.
User centred design was fundamental to this project. Research, consultation and social media evaluation were used to inform an entirely new approach to the MSI website. Content was stripped back and made more accessible. A simple and clear navigation system was developed to help classify and negotiate the wide body of work that MSI do. A content management system was developed to cater for MSI's global and constantly changing requirements. Innovative approaches to data representation, interactive behaviours, mapping functions and integration of social media make the new site smart and gives them real stand out.
The MSI Global Impact Report is a flagship publication for the charity and acts as a key justification for donations and fundraising. It is an important piece of communication so in order to understand the twin challenges of demonstrating organisational impact and bringing a human face to MSI’s work, we looked to inject passion and professionalism into its communications. The Global Impact Report in particular helped raise the bar for organisational communications.
